Hello Augusta Homeowners-

Here are some updates and news for our neighborhood, please take a moment to read to stay informed!

New Lawn Care Company & Sprinkler Company

On June 11th our contract will end with Wave Landscaping. Our new lawn company will be SOFLO Landscaping and Property Maintenance and the sprinkler company will be Florida Irrigation. The board decided to split up the services to ensure proper maintenance and testing of our sprinklers. The lawn company will be in regular communication with the sprinkler company. The sprinklers will all be tested in June and then regularly tested once a quarter to ensure they are operating, as they should be. The new lawn company, will focus first on ensuring that there is no vegetation that is touching our roof line.

If you do not want the lawn company to maintain your 3 foot space please notify the board by email at augustapoa@outlook.com. There will be no custom 3 foot areas- they will either take care of your area by trimming bushes or they will not touch it all.

HOA Board Contact Information – Maintenance & Complaints

The board is happy to address any maintenance issues on common grounds if reported to the board in writing. Please send them to our email at augustahoa@outlook.com. Please do not approach board members when you see them walking their dog, checking their mail or knock on their door, text them etc. We need all requests in writing so we can ensure the entire board is aware of maintenance issues and so we can track them in our email.

If you have a complaint please ensure that you send an email to the board with the date, time and location of the violation and a picture if you are able. The board will address complaints but must first determine the facts about the complaint. The complaint will then be considered and after discussion among the board and reviewing the facts it will be addressed accordingly. If we do not have a complaint in writing with the needed details, we will not be able to address it.

Visitor Parking and Visitor Trucks Rule Clarification

Recently the board sought clarification from our attorney on the rule about visiting trucks. The attorney advised that the only way for the board to legally respond and enforce the rule as it is written is if a truck remains in the neighborhood for 21 days consecutively it will be in violation of the rule. If there is evidence of violation of the rule the board will enforce the rule. Please note that there is still have a rule that owners are prohibited to park trucks in the neighborhood and we will continue to enforce that rule. Please remember that we have very limited guest parking. If you have a guest that comes to the neighborhood regularly, please consider talking to a neighbor who has an extra spot that may be used. We want to ensure our guests have a place to park when they come to our neighborhood.

Hurricane Season and Insurance Coverage

Hurricane season is here as of June 1. Now is the time to ensure that you are ready for a hurricane. If you have accordion shutters make sure your tracks are clear and there is no debris so you can close them if needed. Check on your neighbors and see if they need help preparing.

The neighborhood will be prepared for the hurricane season with our annual tree trimming on Monday June 6th and will continue on Tuesday June 7th if needed. Please also remember that you need to turn in a copy of your insurance coverage once a year. You can send an electronic copy to augustapoa@outlook.com or send by mail with attention: Meghan.

Jupiter Neighborhood Grant Award

We are excited to announce that we have received a grant from the Town of Jupiter for new signage for all of our buildings. The signage will be replaced on each unit including the front door sign on the outside of the building. The plan is to have the entire Number and Unit letter on each front door so that units can be easily found. We will provide an update once we know when this work will be completed.

Annual Maintenance Plan

The board has developed an annual maintenance plan to ensure our property is taken care of. So far this year our shingles have been cleaned and sprayed to maintain them, gutters cleaned and our roofs have had their annual cleaning. The board has also received volunteer labor to fix the mailbox in the front of the neighborhood and plant new plants in front of our directional sign. A special thank you goes to Ron & Teresa Marquette for volunteering their time and labor to add new plants and lighting and to Ed Bisesi for replacing the mailbox into new concrete. In June our Trees will be trimmed for hurricane season and later in the year we will do a sidewalk pressure cleaning and gutter cleaning.

New Neighborhood Directory

A new neighborhood directory will soon be posted on our website. Thank you to Jo-Elaine Castrovinci who volunteered to update our directory for us. The directory can be found on the Resident Log In area of the website. Go to www.augustapoa.com and then navigate to the Resident Directory.

Modifications to Units

We are all interested in any improvements we can make to our homes. However, the Association’s Documents have some guidelines that must be adhered to, so it is important that any and all plans for changes made to the exterior of our properties be submitted to the Board for approval. This includes, Pavers, Shutters, Gutter Modifications, Paint Colors and anything else that might change the appearance to the exterior. Please ensure you get approval- if you don’t have approval it could lead to costly changes to the work you have already completed. You can submit approval requests to the email.

The board wishes you a safe Summer season!
